Vintage Johnson Brothers "Old Britain Castles" Transferware Set
Item Details
A set of transferware by Johnson Brothers. Made in England, this set is featured in the Old Britain Castles pattern and includes two oval platters, two serving bowls, one gravy boat with an attached saucer, one creamer, thirteen teacups, twelve dessert plates, thirteen bowls, 14 dinner plates, twelve saucers, and 14 bread plates. Each of the pieces is marked ‘Johnson Brothers England Old Britain Castles’ to the underside.
Condition
There is wear from use. Crazing is naturally present from age. Signs of chipping to some of the pieces. One of the pieces has cracked and has been repaired. Signs of scratches present.
