14th/15th c. Chinese Longquan Celadon Charger
Item Details
Magnificent 14th/15th century Chinese Longquan Celadon charger, thickly potted with a fine scalloped outer rim and shallow cavetto sides encircling the central well which is molded with a peony on a stem. The sage green glaze is thick but absent on the underside to show the burnt orange unglazed firing ring.
Condition
Very good condition with only a faint hair line rim crack, approx 3" in length. Truly unbelievable considering the age of the piece.
