Luthier Crafted Joe Sanguinette Appalachian Lap Dulcimer

Item Details

An Appalachian lap dulcimer by luthier Joe Sanguinette. This dulcimer has a traditional hourglass body shape with lobed flower and leaf sound hole cutaways. The saddle is compensated, and the tailpiece block accepts loop-end strings. The headstock has a carved open scroll, and is fitted with metal machine heads. The fretboard, back, and sides appear to be mahogany, and the top soundboard appears to be walnut or hickory. The instrument has an inner tag from the retailer with the pencil signed luthier’s signature, ‘Joe Sanguinette’ and is marked ‘1998’. The instrument is accompanied by a vinyl hardshell case with a orange-yellow plush lining, and comes with an electronic Quik Tune automatic chromatic tuner with a clip-on sensor.
