Boris Solotareff Watercolor on Paper "Lion at Rest"
Item Details
A watercolor with graphite underdrawing on paper titled Lion at Rest by listed artist Boris Solotareff (1889-1966), created in 1940. Depicted is a male lion with a large mane resting with its head on its paw. To the lower right, the work is signed by the artist in pencil. An additional inscription is present to the lower left and partially covered by the mat. A gallery label state this piece is from the artist estate is present to the verso. Under a single layer of cream mat, the work is presented under glass in a beveled silver tone frame.

- minor scuffing to frame; brown marks under lower edge of mat window.
