An offset lithographic poster print featuring a reproduction print of an oil painting by listed Swiss artist Fred Maurer (1919 – 1985) titled Madonna. The image depicts a woman with her head bowed as she lovingly cradles her child against her chest, a subtle halo encircling her head. The print has been hand-embellished with acrylic gel medium, painted on the image in such a way that mimics brushstrokes and giving the appearance of an original painting. The poster is mounted on a composite board substrate.

Condition

- poster has been defaced with discolored acrylic gel medium, painted in an effort to make the image appear as an original oil painting. Board is warped. Edges and corners of board are worn.
