Bassett Furniture French Provincial Style Buffet

A French Provincial style buffet by Bassett Furniture Industries, Inc. This piece is composed of cherry wood and veneer and has a serpentine front. It contains two small side top drawers and three center drawers with decorative pulls and machine cut dovetails, which are flanked by cabinets. The buffet has a scalloped apron and rests on short cabriole legs. The top center drawer bears the maker’s mark, and this matches items 16LEX206-007 and 008.

Condition

Consistent with age and use. Some surface mildew and wear, stain in top’s center. Center drawer will not close all the way, and left cabinet door is difficult to open.
