Item Details

An antique mid 19th-century original Barbizon school oil painting on canvas mounted to a composite board substrate, painted in the manner of plein air painter Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot (France, 1796 – 1875). The image depicts a plein air landscape of a dirt path flanked by woodland trees with small patches of sunlight scattered throughout. Mounted behind a light brown linen liner in a beveled wood frame with a gilt carved interior edge and a hanging wire to the verso.
