Elgin and Waltham Pocket Watches
Item Details
A grouping of two pocket watches including an Elgin and Waltham. The Elgin pocket watch is comprised of a gold-filled case with a hinged front cover with chased foliate shield to center, a lobed crown, hinged bale and attached link fob. The face features a crystal cover, Roman numerals with hour and minute hands and a subsidiary seconds dial. The case back is marked ‘Rambler Guaranteed 10 Years 1257997’. The watch parts number are 11477107 and have 15 jewels. The second pocket watch is by A. W. Co. Waltham, featuring a silver tone watch case, crystal dial face, lobed crown and hinged bale. The dial face features black Roman numerals, hour and minute hands as well as a subsidiary seconds dial. The back case screws off, marked ‘Dueler Silverine Canton, O’ and case serial number 2105. The parts serial number is 2022012.
Condition
- fair. Heavy metal loss to the Elgin pocket watch. Both were not running at the time of cataloging.
