Item Details
An original oil painting on canvas titled Cincinnati Hills by listed Cincinnati artist Frances Wiley Faig (1885-1955). The painting depicts a series of house lining the top of a hill above a small town in the valley of rolling hills. With large trees in the foreground this landscape is represented in vibrant hues of green, yellow, purple, and blue. It is signed in pencil to the lower right with gallery labels and an artist CV to the verso. Presented in a gilt frame with a wire to the verso. Faig studied under Frank Duveneck and Charles Hawthorne. She created the mural in the Engineering Library at University of Cincinnati.
