A framed Solomon Leski oil on canvas painting. The painting depicts a portrait of an elderly man in profile with one hand poised over an open book. The painting is dark in color and is reminiscent of the style of the Dutch Golden Age. The painting is signed ‘Leski’ in the top right corner of the canvas. It is housed in a black, distressed wooden frame with a gold tone border.

Solomon Leski was born in Warsaw, Poland in 1925 and attended the State Lyceum for Design, Academy for Fine Arts.
