A fine replica King Louis XIV – style gilt gessoed mirror designed by Vincenzo Fancelli. Mirror features a domed shape to top, intricate gessoed border of floral swag around the visage of a face in the center with beams of sunlight issuing forth from the head, perfectly befitting of ‘Le Roi Soleil.’ A small floral overhang sits on the surface of the mirror. Detailed repeating pattern border around the frame of the mirror. Copper and green metallic colors have been painted on gilt.
