1940 Plymouth Tambour Mantel Clock

A 1940 Plymouth tambour mantel clock. Features a walnut case with gilt tone Art Deco style detailing to the front. The face is finished in an ivory tone and features brown arabic numerals and bronze tone metal hands. Plymouth was a division of Seth Thomas and this clock uses the 4000-series movement which replaced the costlier Seth Thomas movement in the late 1930s. This clock features the original paper label instructions to the back of the door and the movement is date stamped to the left 3 40 for March 1940. An additional number is stamped to the top right, indicating the serial of this clock. A key is included and the clock ticks and chimes, no further testing was done.

Wear is commensurate with light use.
