Mottahedeh "Winterthur" Reproduction Porcelain Plate

A ‘Winterthur’ reproduction plate by Mottahedeh, Portugal for the Society of Cincinnati. This porcelain plate is a reproduction from George Washington’s dinner service in 1786. ‘Winterthur’ is named after a Roman Senator who left his farm to fight for his country, similar to the fraternal society between the American and French officers during the Revolutionary War. The plates features a scalloped edge, beautifully detail with complex florals in a variety of borders with a center design, by Pierre Charles L’Enfant. The plate stand is not included.
