Pair of Herend Sitting Parrot Porcelain Figurines

A set of two Herend Hungarian sitting parrot porcelain figurines, painted in rust signature fishnet design with 24K gold accents. The figurines include crested parrot sitting on a tall stand, as well as a parrot on a lower stand, both with bold painted tail feathers. The fishnet design was first inspired by a Herend painter in 1858, who was influenced by China fish scale style patterns. Herend is a Hungarian porcelain manufacturing company, specializing in hand painted and gilded luxury hard paste porcelain. These figurines includes a blue Herend Hungary porcelain mark. The taller figurine is incised with style #5003, and a hand painted #240. The shorter parrot is incised with style #5005, and a hand painted #90.
