A signed copy painting of Rembrandts 1641 self-portrait executed by Jean Caein in oil on canvas. This piece depicts Rembrandt wearing a black hat and coat, white collared shirt and a brown vest. He is sitting in front of a brown background. Signed to lower left, the piece is housed in a gold tone and brown painted, beveled frame. Hanging wire and markings stating ‘23978-61’ present to verso.
Condition
- This painting has been relined and presented on new stretcher bars. There are scratches and accretion present on canvas and frame.
