An original watercolor painting on heavyweight watercolor paper by contemporary American artist Dorothy Short Paul (active 1932 – present). The tranquil landscape depicts small semi-translucent waves glowing in soft shades of blue and green as they roll into a rocky shoreline. The sky above the scene is dotted with a flock of seagulls, wings spread wide in flight. The painting is signed by the artist to the lower right. It is matted in seafoam green and is presented behind non-glare glass in a wooden frame with antiqued silver tone finish and a hanging wire.
