Posthumously Cast Renoir-Guino Bronze "Leda and the Swan"

A posthumously cast bronze sculpture on marble base titled Leda and the Swan by collaborators Renoir and Guino. The sculpture was designed by French Impressionist Pierre-Auguste Renoir (1841-1919) and executed by Catalan sculptor Richard Guino (1890 – 1973). The bronze depicts the story from Greek mythology with the nude Leda first meeting the seducing swan. Produced in 1986, the posthumous cast is numbered 34 in an edition of 325 and is engraved with ‘RGC 1986’ to the base.
