Henredon Dresser with Matching Mirror
Item Details
A Henredon dresser with matching mirror. The mid-twentieth century dresser is made of hardwood, and wood veneers. The dresser features a stepped front, with square, fluted columns to the sides, with legs featuring ionic-style capitals at the tops, and round, fluted column-like bottoms. There are eight solid wood, dovetailed drawers, featuring simple, framed fronts, and are fitted with swag-like brass handles. The two upper drawers are fitted with brass rings with rope detailing. Included with the dresser is a matching rectangular mirror, with a carved urn or basket at the top, center, with trailing leaf swags to either side. The mirror rests on the back edge of the dresser, and is attached with screws. The mirror can be removed from the dresser to allow for easier transport. The dresser is marked ‘Henredon fine furniture’ to the inside of a drawer.
