1855 Seated Liberty Silver Half Dime
Item Details
An 1855 P ‘Seated Liberty’ Half Dime in a plastic case. The obverse depicts a seated Lady Liberty holding a flag, surrounded by stars; below her, the date ‘1855’ is marked between two arrows. The reverse features ‘Half Dime’ inscribed within a laurel wreath and encircled by the words ‘United States of America.’ Metal composition: 90% silver, 10% copper. Designer: Christian Gobrecht. Diameter: 15.5 mm. Weight: 1.24 grams. Circulated.
