Item Details

An etching with later coloring by DeFontaine titled The Old Tower. The image of a village canal scene in rural France depicts stone buildings with cobbled streets The engraving was published by the Paris Etching Society and Sydney Z. Lucas. The plate is titled to the lower left and signed in graphite by the artist to the lower right. The Paris Etching Society produced etching from the 1930s through the 1950s. The engraving is double matted and housed in a gold-toned wood frame under glass. A hanging wire and label ae affixed to the verso.
