Item Details

A signed and numbered limited edition poster printed on museum quality paper titled, Opening Night of Music Hall 1878/Lumenocity circa 2013, by Cincinnati artist, Andrew VanSickle, best known for his unique pop art pieces. This piece of artwork is based on an original ink jet print by Andrew VanSickle in which the idea for Lumenocity, the astounding light show in collaboration with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, originally came from! These prints were sold at the very first Lumenocity event in Cincinnati, which included a limited edition out of 200. The print depicts a colorful version of Cincinnati’s Music Hall on the opening night in 1878, which features several horse drawn carriages and people walking around in the front of the building with a bright palette consisting of purple, pink, red, yellow, and orange hues. The poster is signed by the artist in silver marker in the lower margin and is also displayed behind glass in a thick black frame with a wire for hanging to the verso.

The original image of Music Hall’s opening night is by Samuel Hannaford and Sons, a design firm ran by the Cincinnati based architect, Samuel Hannaford, who was known for designing some of the most popular landmarks in the city, such as Music Hall, City Hall, and much more.

Cincinnati’s very own Pop artist, Andrew VanSickle, is known for his colorful, eclectic pieces of artwork in which he utilizes vintage elements and brilliantly combines them with modern designs to create one of a kind pieces that are sure to grab your attention. Andrew’s fabulous artwork can be found in several celebrities private art collections, including Paris Hilton, Jenna Jameson, and more! Over time, Andrew has evolved into a very prolific artist who has gained wisdom and expertise through experimentation and meaningful collaborations with several popular outsider artists, including Howard Finster, Mose Trolliver, and Paul Warhola, Andy Warhol’s older brother.
