Harry Reisiger Original Acrylic "Landscape, Summer Day" - WVXU

An original acrylic on canvas by well-listed Cincinnati artist Harry Reisiger (1922-2009) titled Landscape, Summer Day. Painted in soft tones of green, orange, blue, and yellow, this landscape is created in bold, frantic strokes, illustrating the round shapes of trees and billowy clouds. Signed in paint to lower right, this work is presented in a simple wooden frame with a dark, natural finish. Hanging wire present to verso. Reisiger studied at the Cincinnati Art Academy and the University of Cincinnati; he studied under and shared a studio with Cincinnati great Paul Chidlaw. Reisiger’s pieces were often inspired by music and lyricism.
