Gemstone Globe with Compass and Brass Tripod Stand

Item Details

A gemstone globe with a compass and a brass tripod stand. This vintage free-standing globe features a variety of inlaid semi-precious stone, including lapis lazuli, mother of pearl, amethyst and jade. The lines of latitude and longitude are made of thin strips of brass. The frame and tripod legs are made of brass plated metal with cloven feet. A compass is held underneath the globe by the spanner.
