A vintage, highly collectible 18K gold diamond and sapphire whale brooch by designer Erwin Pearl. This fabulous piece depicts a whale with multi-polish finish spraying diamonds and sapphires from the top of his head. The brooch is prong set with three single cut diamonds measuring 1.8 mm, F-G in color, SI1-SI2 in clarity, estimated 0.08 total carat weight. The piece is set with eleven round cut heat treated and diffused sapphires measuring from 1.85 mm to 2.0 mm. This brooch is finished with a safety clasp to back and stamped ‘E. Pearl 18K’. The approximate weight is 8.2 dwt.
