An original World War II offset lithograph propaganda poster, printed in 1943 by the U.S. Government Printing Office, and was created by the U.S. Office of War Information (OWI). The poster promotes frugality on the homefront during the war, and features the popular wartime slogan ‘Use it up – Wear it out – Make it do!’. The poster depicts a woman sewing a patch onto the trouser seat of a man as he leans over to oil a rusty piece of equipment. The poster is OWI poster number 39. It is matted in white and presented behind glass in a wooden frame with black acrylic finish and a hanging wire.

- creasing across poster from previous folding. Light discoloration across poster.
