An antique Chinese export reverse painting on glass. The early 20th century églomisé painting depicts a woman dressed in a patterned gold kimono with high red neckline, holding a foliate-patterned hand fan, the woman seated behind a wooden rail, with green patterned wall and series of silk scroll paintings to the background and a green parrot on a bamboo swing to the painting’s left. The painting is finished in a rounded-corner dark hardwood frame with a chinoiserie brass hanger to the top.
