Limited Edition Signed Louis Icart Nude Etching
Item Details
A limited edition matted and framed Art Deco style nude etching signed by artist Louis Icart (1880-1950). The piece depicts a young nude female standing in shadowy light. Her hands are posed at her hips as she stands with one foot forward. A black lace veil drapes her nude body. A blind stamp is present to the lower left corner next to the 202/500 edition number. The piece is hand signed and numbered in pencil with a personal message that reads, ‘To one of the swellest fellows I know, Mike Clarke. Ruth Nelson January 1942’. Copyright 1929 by L. Icart Paris is printed in plate. A wire is verso for hanging.
