Antique Lacquered Japanese Noh Mask, "Taikofu", Tottering Old Man

An antique Japanese theatre mask, ‘Taikofu’ a tottering old man. The small lacquered mask has exaggerated features, elongated earlobes and deep expression lines with smiling red lips and exposed white teeth. The old patina and traces of original paint are noteworthy on this antique mask.

Condition

The antique mask has a wonderful patina retaining original paint at the lips and teeth.
