Japanese Woodblock Print "Tōshōgū Pagoda in Ueno" by Itō Yūhan
Item Details
A circa 1930s Japanese shin-hanga woodblock print titled Tōshōgū Pagoda in Ueno by Itō Yūhan (Japanese, 1882-1951). This print features a view of the Tokyo neighborhood Ueno with snow-covered roofs and trees, a tall pagoda in the distance, the end of a bridge over water to the lower right, and two figures making paths on the snowy ground as they walk with umbrellas held overhead. Artist’s signature is printed in red at lower left with the title printed vertically in the lower left margin. Matted and framed with hanging wire to back.
