A semi-antique handwoven Kurdish area rug.This rug features a bright red field with a large navy diamond medallion in the center. The medallion features repeating floral, foliate, and diamond motifs in red, beige, cornsilk blue, orange, and red. The red field surrounding the mdallion features floral motifs, diamond motifs, and crossing line motifs in pink, orange, blue, and cream. The rug features a largeer interior border in dark red with repeating floral motifs in bright blue, bright red, orange, navy, and cream. The rug also features an outer smaller border in bright blue with repeating floral motifs in red, orange, and cream. The rug has short cream fringe on both ends.

Condition

good to fair for age – wear to fiber, two small holes developing
