A signed 1000 Faces Satsuma vase. In gold tone, the exquisite vase features traditional Japanese hand painted detail of female and male facial images with a dragon towards the base. The piece is signed ‘Hotoda’ (保土田) underneath the Shimazu mon to the underside.
