An antique J. & R. Clews ‘Fountains Abbey’ earthenware plate from a series of transferware titled ‘Select Scenery’. The design features two men in front of a grand abbey with large and detailed flowers around the rim. Marked ‘Select Scenery / Fountains Abbey’ and stamped ‘Clews Warranted Staffordshire’ with a crown mark to the back.
