Print after Liang Kai's "Immortal in Splashed Ink"

A framed print after the famous painting Immortal in Splashed Ink (潑墨仙人, Pomo Xianren) by the Song dynasty painter Liang Kai (梁楷, circa 1140-1210). A Daoist immortal is rendered in spontaneously executed washes of monochrome ink. For more information on the original painting, housed in the National Palace Museum, Taipei, follow the link below. A vertical inscription is in the upper right corner. The print is presented matted under glass in a gold toned wood frame that is wired to verso for hanging.

- creasing to paper, tears to backing.
