Collection of Stoneware and Porcelain Bowls with a Teapot
Item Details
A collection of stoneware and porcelain bowls with a teapot. The earth-brown teapot, with a looped bamboo handle, comes with a strainer. The tag underneath reads ‘Alber Kessler & Company – San Francisco, CA 94103 – 1989 – Made In China’. One light brown stoneware bowl, with no brand markings, is decorated on the exterior with Asian characters, and with a swirl of color on the interior. The other stoneware bowl, blue with no markings, is ringed on the exterior with five gold tone bands. Each has four green felt pads on the base. A translucent blue and white porcelain bowl, with a flower in the center, is marked underneath ‘Made In China’ and two characters of Chinese script. One white translucent bowl has no markings. Two porcelain bowls are decorated on the exterior with white fish against a blue background, and overlaid with black lines. The interiors are white and the base underneath is white. Two porcelain coasters are decorated with orange blossoming flowers. They are marked underneath ‘Haviland – Limoges’ and ‘Haviland – France – Limoges’.
