A signed oil painting on canvas by Günter Seekatz (born 1928). This impressive 4-foot wide painting features a European street lined with vendors, under an overcast sky. Signed ‘G. Seekatz’ to lower right. Includes artist information up to 1969. Housed in an ornate gold frame with linen liner and hanging wire to back.

Gunter Seekatz was born in Langenberg, Germany and had associations with the Düsseldorf school of painting. He studied throughout Europe and his works have been featured in solo shows throughout Germany. Continues to work in Germany.
