A vintage sterling silver replica of the 16th century ‘The Leicester Spoon’ originally by George Tarratt. This piece features a wide bowl at the end of a thick handle and a decorated end. It has been marked with a floral stamp to the bowl. The back of the handle is hallmarked for London along with the rampant lion indicating sterling. This piece features the maker’s mark of C. J. Vander Ltd. with the date mark for 1964. The spoon includes a card with information and comes in a gray box, marked with a gold tone lion to the top, and a red velvet bottom to the interior. The total approximate sterling weight is 1.001 ozt.
