A handwoven Turkmen Bokhara bag face. This rug features an unresolved alternating repeating pattern of octagonal Tekke guls in a palette of maroons, tans, reds, and black. The center field is surrounded by several thin guard borders in unresolved patterns featuring bereket, chevron, and flower box motifs. The rug has a long kilim strip on the length of one side featuring a repeating pattern of stylized eagle symbols: a sign of power. the kilim end has a natural, undyed wool warp fringe.
