Handwoven Romanian Folk Art Rug
Item Details
A handwoven Romanian folk art rug. The rug has an ivory wool foundation with a dense pattern of ducks, geese and other birds, some flying and others on the ground, in a palette of reds, shades of brown and cinnamon, bright blue and green. Large trees in the scene have frond-like leaves in olive and bright blue. The rug has a small kilim skirt in the weft colors and long warp fringe to either end. Unmarked.
