An colorful Iranian handwoven wool rug. The pattern is made up of continuous squares on a vivid crimson red field, with each square having a colorful frame in saffron, bright blue, white, bright green taupe and black. The innermost border is a wider version of the panel frame design banded by an ivory band having colorful hooked and diamond patterns in the same palette. It has a sparse cotton fringe to either end and is marked ‘Iranian Carpet Exporters, 2032’.

Condition

- some dye bleed to the lighter colors. Fiber loss to fringe.
