Hand-Painted Japanese Lacquered Jewelry Boxes

Item Details

A collection of two hand-painted wooden lacquered jewelry boxes made in Japan. Both jewelry boxes feature hand-painted landscape scenery as well as a heart shaped key hole. The cream colored jewelry box is lined with blue velvet and sits on four wooden feet. The bottom is marked Hand Painted by Lloyd’s and Made in Japan. The black colored jewelry box is similar in style with a slightly different hand-painted landscape scene and it does not have wooden feet and is lined with an orange velvet.

Condition

- some scratching to the paint, some fading and wear due to age and use.
- some staining present on interior and exterior. Keys not included.
