F. Prewitt Original Ink Drawing "Fly Bye"

Item Details

An original ink drawing on the verso of a thick sketchbook cover by artist F. Prewitt, titled Fly Bye. The simple Pointillist drawing depicts a butterfly fluttering past a small patch of bright daisies. The flowers fade into a simple background of empty negative space. The drawing is signed to the lower right, and is again signed and titled to the verso. It is presented behind glass in a wooden frame with cast embellishments, gold tone finish, and a stripe of black velvet trim. A wire is attached to the verso for hanging.

Condition

to fair- discoloration across. A few small creases. White out has been applied to lower portion of drawing, and has not yellowed consistently with paper.
