Grouping of Chinese Shiwan Ware Ceramic Figurines

A grouping of Chinese Shiwan ware figurines. They are presented in various poses with a glazed finish to each. The man sitting with the boy is marked ‘Wainjain, China 5’, the man with the spear is marked ‘China ’73’, the standing fisherman is marked ‘53’, and the sitting figure with an ax is marked ‘038’. The smallest figure of the grouping is not marked.
Condition
- fisherman with white robe is missing his spear.
- half of the left sideburn of the old man with the boy is broken off.
- smallest figure is missing his tool.
- all other pieces are in good shape – no chips or cracks.
