A Louis XVI style Ladies writing or secretary desk executed in kingwood with mahogany and satinwood inlay. The piece features a pierced brass gallery rail with a scalloped swag and tassle bottom border above three drawers over a cylinder top desk. The c-roll top conceals four pigeon hole compartments, two additional drawers and a green leather inlay writing surface decorated with a goldtone printed border. Below is a full-width drawer with brass keyhole and escutcheon. Key included. The piece overall is done in a mahogany veneer with satinwood pinstripe inlay. It stands on four square tapered legs and burned to bottom reads ‘Made in Spain’.
