Hand Painted Tlaquepaque Mexican Pottery Gravy Boat

Item Details

A handmade Tlaquepaque red clay pottery gravy boat from Mexico. The piece is fully glazed, and features a hand painted image of a man wearing a sombrero sitting on a blanket and watching a sunset around a field of cacti, and a single tree. Both the edges of the grooved lip as well as the lip of the base are painted in a dark green color that makes a band that runs the perimeter of the lip, the handle and the lip of the base. The bottom of the base features the word Mexico etched into it.
