An original alla prima oil on canvas painting signed in paint to the lower right by contemporary Cincinnati-based artist Hubert Collet, titled Le Coucher du Soleil. The image depicts an Impressionistic rendering of a bare-branched trees surrounding a small pond, the ground carpeted in wildflowers, the setting sun painting the sky in vivid oranges. The painting is mounted in a beveled wood frame with cast moulding and a gold tone finish with a hanging wire to the verso.
