Friedrich Schiller Parianware Bust

A parianware bust of German poet, philosopher, physician, historian, and playwright, Johann Christoph Friedrich von Schiller (1759-1805). Parianware is a type of bisque designed to mimic the characteristics of white marble. The man in the bust has long hair and a detailed collar with a name beneath him reading ‘Schiller.’ He is stamped ‘Germany’ to the back.

Condition

Slight red marks at the forehead.
