Peacekeeper Model Missile

A U.S. Air Force Peacekeeper model missile. This plastic model missile is a replica of the LGM-118 Peacekeeper that was a land-based ICBM deployed by the United States starting in 1986. The missile is 1/50 of the original scale and rests on a yellow plastic base with the name ‘Martin Marietta’ marked on the base. Martin Marietta was awarded the prime contract for the MX missile, and Thiokol, Aerojet, Hercules, and Rocketdyne received contracts for the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th stage engine, respectively.
