Item Details
A vanity with mirror, constructed by maker Berkey & Gay Furniture Co. between 1929-1948. Features a mirror presented in wooden frame with carved crest, centered shell cartouche, and scrolled detail flanking bottom of frame. Vanity features a rectangular top with beveled edge, three graduated dovetailed drawers with burled veneer face and two brass-tone, c-scrolled, diamond-shaped back plates with drop pulls to each drawer. Apron beneath drawer is beaded with incised and pointed oval shapes. Rests on four turned legs with bun feet and H-stretcher. Marked with a Berkey & Gay brass tag to interior of drawer.
