An antique Chase-Hackley ‘Exceltone’ player piano with bench and music roll collection. Features a hinged lid, a removable face with sliding doors, a fold out piano keyboard cover, turned supports, and three brass pedals. The sliding doors open to reveal the player mechanics, complete with a manual control with speeds for largo, adagio, adante, moderato, allegretto, allegro, and presto. A lever on the right underside of the keyboard opens two doors on the bottom, allowing access to two manual foot pumps that run the player. Includes a bench with an H-stretcher, as well as a large music roll collection, with such songs as ‘Gypsy Love Song,’ ‘Roses of Yesterday,’ ‘Dance Strains of Others,’ ‘The Children’s Marching Song,’ ‘Comrades of the Legion’ and many others.

• Item is located in the basement and must be carried up a flight of stairs. The services of a professional mover are highly recommended. Please note, this is an item that may be especially difficult to move and/or transport. Unless shipping arrangements are available and made by the winning bidder, that individual is responsible for, and advised to bring, appropriate assistance, vehicle, and any necessary tools to pickup.

Condition

- original finish has been covered with a black paint with white speckles; some chips and scratches to paint. One key doesn’t work, screws are loose on one side of face. Music rolls don’t play and there is some yellowing and rips to them.
