A signed watercolor artwork of a windmill by listed Dutch artist Cornelius Anton Bartels (1890 – ?). This original watercolor depicts a windmill on a flat coastline, with several small figures working underneath. The piece is signed within the field to the lower right corner, presented with an off-white mat, in a gold-toned, carved wooden frame, with a wire affixed to the back for hanging. C.A. Bartels worked in both the Netherlands and Iowa.
